A product of Sydney Minor Hockey, Ben went on to play with Sydney Academy, the Eskasoni Eagles Jr. B, and senior hockey in British Columbia.

Ben brings many years of coaching experience across various levels of minor hockey. Most recently, he has spent the past two seasons coaching Sydney’s U15 A team.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Education from St. Francis Xavier University, and his background in education is a natural fit with his coaching philosophy—one built around hard work, accountability, teamwork, and creating a positive environment where young athletes can develop both on and off the ice.

Ben is excited to continue giving back to the local hockey community and looks forward to leading the U13 AAA Cape Breton Forge this season.
